In October 2015, I was invited to Sunnyvale, California to participate in the 1st Annual Clover Network Invitational. Clover is a cloud-based Android Point-of-Sale mobile application first launched in 2012. It has since grown to include the Clover Station, Clover Mobile, and Clover Mini. It boasts its own integrated app store, which is what the hackathon would be focused around.
My team of four plus mentor was tasked with creating a "Voice-based self-service kiosk for Web, Android or iOS." Everyone on my team aside from myself owned Macbooks, and our mentor had previous experience in iOS, so our team decided to focus on an iOS application. I borrowed a Macbook from Clover for the duration of the hackathon. We used XCode, Wit.ai API, and programmed in Swift. I also focused on learning Clover's API.
